Freebie Friday alert! Today we are giving away a like new (donated) copy of the biggest book of the year: Four Winds by Kristin Hannah! To enter, LIKE our page (if you haven't already), and leave a comment below telling us what your favorite time period is to read. This novel takes place during the Great Depression. ... A random winner will be chosen and announced here on Facebook by 1 pm on Monday. The winner must be able to pick up their book at the library. BONUS: For added fun, you can catch several of our staff members chatting about Four Winds next week! If you finish the book on time (because spoilers abound!), join in the fun! We're excited to announce our second annual Greece Reads event! Each year, our librarians select a book that we encourage the community to read and discuss together. In March, we will host the author in a live Zoom session where we'll get the chance to chat with them, and hold a Q&A. Starting this week, we will be releasing one clue about the author's identity each Friday for the next 4 weeks. You will receive a total of 4 clues that you can piece together to discover their i...dentity. The first person to guess correctly will win a copy of the book, so guessing early isn't a bad idea! Each week, the clues will get more specific, so don't worry if this one has you scratching your head. If you want to guess, drop it below. **You may guess once every week, but only one guess per person, per week please!**

Have you heard?! Miracle Creek, our 2021 Greece Reads selection, is available on Hoopla as an audiobook! You can listen to it RIGHT NOW! Never any wait times on Hoopla... that’s why we love it. Registration is now open for our Greece Reads author visit with Angie Kim! We have a special incentive for you too: the first 10 people who register will win their own copy of the book! Angie will also send you a personalized book plate. This event will take place live via Zoom. We can't wait! Contest details: the 10 winners will be notified by the end of this week. We do kindly ask that you only register if you plan on attending, and not simply to win the book (although we know it is a very cool prize!). More chances to win will be announced later! http://greecepubliclibrary.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails

We are very excited to announce the re-opening of our front entrance, lobby, and Secondhand Prose! You'll notice a beautiful facelift of our front entrance, with new energy efficient LED lighting, and a safer touchless entrance. Our Friends volunteers are also thrilled to welcome you back into the used bookstore: Secondhand Prose. As always, we ask that you keep social distancing in mind as you browse for your next treasure. ... So... what do you think of our new look?
