This Friday at 10am PT / 1pm ET we have a special spooky livestream with Wonders of Wildlife to showcase the NY State Parks & Historic Sites Halloween-themed Mission! Tune in to see the Mission in action and learn some spooky science from Dennis of the U.S. Forest Service! See you there!

We got a great idea from a patron who has been out of the area for a couple years now. Let’s show him what he’s missing! Got a great fall photo? Would love to see some fall color photos taken in the park or trails in or around park. I heard the foliage is great this current Autumn season. The animals are getting ready for Halloween! Go on a scavenger hunt playing the augmented reality game Agents of Discovery. See if you know more about Halloween than they do. This is a family friendly game. Search and download the Agents of Discovery app for free from Google Play or the Apple Store. Then search for the Green Lakes Halloween Hunt Mission. Download it at home to save your data and then come to the park to play. The animals are hiding along the lake trail. When you find one scan it using the app on your phone. Why not dress up in your Halloween costume to join the fun!

Looking for something new to try at Green Lakes? Play our augmented reality game Agents of Discovery! Download the free app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Then search for the Guarding Green Lakes Mission. It’s best to download the mission when you have access to Wi-Fi so you don’t have to use your data. Once at the park, open the app, select the Mission and start having fun! The Mission is played around the beach area. Can’t make it to the park this weekend? Don’t worry, we have a Play-at-Home Mission as well! After downloading the app search for the Mysterious Green Lake Mission. Tap on the map icons to play the game from home.

Golf Course Aeration will begin on 9/14 and finish the morning of 9/16. Only 9 holes will be open on 9/14. The golf course will be closed on 9/15 and all 18 holes will reopen at 10AM on 9/16. Thank you for your patience as this process is important for the overall health of our greens.
