Green Satori Inn

Because today marks the 80th anniversary of my all-time favorite movie, "Rebecca," I thought I would try and honor this film by performing my favorite scene from the movie, myself. This 1940 film earned Alfred Hitchcock his lone Best Picture Oscar. Not only is this my favorite film, this favorite scene of mine from the movie, also featured my all-time favorite actor, Laurence Olivier, who earned his second Oscar nomination, after "Wuthering Heights," the previous year for his... role as Maxim de Winter. He was in his early 30s at the time, nearly half my age, but the character of Max was really probably somewhere in between our ages, anyway. Ironically, the first time I saw this movie was 40 years ago today. I remember, because at the time, the free TV screening I saw that it was the 40th Anniversary. I found this movie so entrancing that I took my first ever acting class the following fall at the University of Arizona. Thanks for watching. It is quiet here. This pic is from an hour ago, from our front yard. Everything here really feels the same as before. Quiet is quiet. Being off the beaten path is good for the soul. Business as usual in this quiet and comfy corner of the county. We now have fiber-optic, so our wi-fi is even faster than before., so that is nice. We hope you use this isolation time in a productive and fruitful way that somehow parlays into a benefit for you. Maybe read a few book. Create new art. Spend time with family.
