The Quest for Justice Kickoff was a huge success on Jan. 24th with our honored guests from state, county & local government reflecting on this historic event which took place 60-years ago. We were also blessed to have Gwen Hall, the daughter of Barbara Hall, an activist and litigant in the desegregation case share memories of her mom and the commitment of the families seeking an equal education for their children.
The Lincoln Park Conservancy, Inc. is commemorating the 60-year anniversary of the Lincoln School Desegregation Case with its program Quest for Justice. Please look at the Facebook LIVE Kickoff Event to learn more about this amazing story of struggle for an equal education during the 1960s in the northern suburban city of New Rochelle, NY. https://www.facebook.com/thelincolnparkconservancy/videos/398331094760398
The Lincoln Park Conservancy's first exhibit is A Retrospective of the Lincoln Avenue Corridor - 1900s-1960s and opened at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery in City Hall on Feb. 11th. COVID-19, which shut down our city in March, impacted people visiting City Hall and seeing the exhibit. We now present a virtual exhibit to share this amazing history of the neighborhood where grow! Lincoln Park is located, click the link: https://youtu.be/9xBT_-CVJ8g Enjoy!
