Here are 2 students and the bowling pins they custom painted for the Collision Repair Education Foundation. Pins were rough to start and required them to fill, sand, prime, and paint.

On Friday, March 6, the GST STEM Academy Chapter 2 (10th grade) students launched their first ever Careers and Corning Community College Pathways Fair. Students spent several weeks researching the Career Pathway options offered to them through CCC. During this research, they connected with many of our business partners for useful, real-world information about career options. After gathering all of the information, they created a display table setup for the fair. The student...s then hosted the Career/CCC Pathways Fair and presented their work to the Chapter 1 (9th grade) students. After the fair, the Chapter 1 students shared feedback and expressed how helpful the information was to them. This project really seemed to re-ignite the students with passion for their upcoming careers in the STEM community and gave them the opportunity to put their professional skills to good use. Students have shared some useful feedback for how next year’s fair could be even more beneficial to all involved. They hope to bring in some of the older STEM Academy students from Corning Community College to share their experiences at the college level. We also envision business partners joining in person to even further expand on the connections and professional skills that they have been building.

A very exciting large school division match took place on Monday night between Hornell and Corning Black. The regular match ended in a tie and after 33 tie-breaker questions were asked, the final winner was Hornell with a score of 41 over Corning Black's 37. Canaseraga had a huge come from behind near win in the buzzer round which made for a close and exciting finish in the small school division.
