Most dogs don’t usually get a good walk beforehand, so their arousal level is already high. Dogs that are always in dog parks don’t learn proper impulse control, which translates directly to problems walking on leash. There are so many other good options! Structured walks, hikes, interactive food puzzles and toys, play dates with a few friends, incorporating basic training and life rewards daily, tug, and offleash or long line in large, designated park areas.
