All initial and renewal benefit applications must be submitted to the Department of Finance (DOF) by the March 15, 2021, deadline.... The law requires that the Senior Citizen Homeowners' Exemption (SCHE) must be renewed every two years and the Disabled Homeowners' Exemption (DHE) must be renewed every year. Homeowners are encouraged to renew online (e-file).
