Spent some time @marlows_orchids in Scottsville with one of the owners, Jonathan, today. In the middle of winter it's so nice to be surround by blooms. It is invigorating to be in the presence of someone who's passionate about their work. Jonathan currently has a GoFundMe set up to help him secure the nursery and property under his sole ownership in order to continue his work and vision for expansion.... I am quite floored by the influx of inquiries about out kimchi since we opened @thehungerford . We haven't made kimchi for HGS since 2018, and it seems like way more of you had the chance to enjoy it and remember it than I could ever imagine. Whereas we don't have any immediate plans for kimchi production just yet, we haven't forgotten and talk about it all the time. When your partner says your kimchi is better than his mom's, I think we have something special there (don't t...ell Mama Kim)! First week with our new hours, and it was wonderful to be able to serve you. It's our privilege to serve our customers who are medical workers celebrating their vaccinations--there is light at the end of the tunnel, and we can't thank you enough for all the work you're doing. It's our privilege to serve the teachers who are doing their best to navigate this new normal. Thank you for continuing to foster our future despite the obstacles.... It's our privilege to serve the parents who managed to sneak a moment to themselves to nourish their bodies. You are doing great! It is our privilege to be your first sip of tea ferments ever...or even simply the flavor of the day. Thank you to everyone who brought in home-made ferments for us and those who shared your stories of big, fat SCOBYs. It's so good to see your smiling eyes across the bar. Happy Gut will continue to be take-out only. Our sweet neighbors @seedandstonecidery have loaned us some bar stools so that our customers may take a seat while we fill your growlers and prepare your drinks. We look forward to the day when our county's COVID cases are on a steady decline and under control. We wish nothing more than to see your lovely faces across the bar, enjoying a hand whisked matcha or a Happy Gut flight, but it's not time yet. Rob and I are tremendously grateful for the vigilance and respect from everyone who have come through our doors since our opening. It is our priority that we all come out of this healthy. We continue to be blown away by your continued support through this difficult time, thank you!

Mary's Gold like we haven't been able to replicate since our home brewing days pre-Happy Gut. Sweetness of mangos and peaches with an underlying richness of cacao. This batch is OUT OF THIS WORLD. This flavor is our go-to for customers new to ferments. It's not super tart. More like a well made southern ice tea with a squeeze of lemon. We're here until 6pm today! Come get your growlers filled
