We love it when our canine visitors stay on leash to keep everyone safe! We also appreciate when they exhibit excellent trail etiquette and poop off trail. Thank you to our visitors who show this consideration for others.
Wardwell's lane from Archibald field (trail B-1) ... "The Wood Bridge" across the Delaware River (West Branch)
Along the trail, upper edge of "The Orchard" ... at the old Pierce Farmstead
Sharon Reed caught a beautiful sunset on trail B-7, the South West shoulder of Ba;d Mt.
Near sunset in the orchard
Some beautiful views above the Village of Stamford
Southeast shoulder of Bald Mt 5-30-20
Blazer Pond serenity... (pics are May 3rd)
Fiddle heads! Fiddle heads ... eat em UP Yum!
A BEAUTIFUL day on Headwaters Trails! At the foot of Bald Mt. ... and on the Mt. as well.
Sounds of spring! The woods are coming to life. The first video is taken by phone about 150 yards up hill of a small wildlife pond. Hundreds of small frogs and other amphibians emerging from the mud and doing their spring things ... like laying eggs... they make a racket... SOUND ON! (Taken Fri. March 27, 2020)
Beautiful crisp morning for a walk... in from Archibald field on Wardwell's lane... left fork after wood bridge ... lots of critter tracks
Blazer Pond at sunset a few days ago from Scotch Valley Road
in the past few hours (certainly less than 24) some one on ATV'S (possibly side by sides) drove through the center of a beutiful 2nd growth clover field adjacent to Murphy's pond! THERE IS NO EXCUSE for this...there is a trail right there...would have taken 10 seconds longer! This is the sort of thing that will get ATV's PROHIBITED!! Remember Headwaters Trails is almost entirely on private property...we are guests of the landowners.

first ripe wild blackberries of the season. These were very sweet and somewhat juicy given how hot and dry it has been. get out and get some and the raspberries while they last. Before the birds and bears get em.
looking north into grousseland cleear cut #3 done in 2011-12 (thank you Bobby and Grant Mattice families for the hard work) for grouse habitat improvement . Just heard a male drumming :-)
