This is very sad news. Since my parents moved to Nassau in the early 1980s, I have seen the Central & South American community become a real economic & political force across Long Island in the past few decades. I wish everyone good health & safety in these very chaotic, sad & tragic times. I am proud to have represented hundreds of clients of Hispanic descent in my 20 years of practicing law. So let me say this: deseando a todos buena salud para siempre y bendiciones para su bienestar

The woman shown below (from Port Washington, NY) has recovered 100% from the Covid-19 virus & has become the very first donor to Colombia University's Study that will determine if the antibodies from a person that has recovered fully from the virus can be used towards finding a cure & finally end this pandemic. This was reported by CBS (channel 2) in the Tri-State area on Mon., March 30.

Some good news arising out of this chaos

It is 7:11 AM on Wed. morning (March 25) & News 12 Long Island just announced that the 2 Trillion federal aid proposal will provide each taxpayer that earns $75,000 or LESS with a $1,200 check. The news reporter did not say when these checks will be mailed out. In addition, all children will receive a $500 check but the news item I watched did not say at what point a child will 'age out' of qualifying for the $500 payment. News 12 has not yet provided a link for this information, so I selected a non-New York based link (below).

Hopefully this is good news for the times that we are going through. Thank you to my fraternity brother Mike Peterson for posting this first.
