It is officially Spring! The Ducks and Geese are laying! The dark eggs are from our Cayuga Ducks. I will have Duck Eggs for sale at the Otsiningo Park Farmers Market this Saturday!

Great explanation. We won't have Turkeys this year but try Wild Rose Farm or Park Hill Poultry for your Holiday Bird. We do have some Delish Ducks that are bi g enough to feed a group.

Most of you know we won't have Turkeys this year, but there are other great local options, here is one.

Last Market day for FRESH Duck! We will have both Gourmet Muscovy Duck and Heritage Duck available. There are whole ducks and Duck breast, legs and livers as well. Think Duck for your next get together or for a special Holiday meal. We have some larger Ducks that will feed many people.

Exciting News! Our Duck is finally ready! We processed them yesterday and they are gorgeous! There will be whole Ducks as well as Duck Breast, Legs and other parts like bones for soup making. They are Muscovy Ducks so they may be leaner than other Duck you may have tried. Interested? Come and see us at Otsiningo Park Farmers Market tomorrow morning!

Our Cow Poppy finally popped! She gave us a beautiful bull calf. Red and sweet allover. Really shows the American Milking Devon blood. Chipotle is his name.

We hatched our first batch of Goslings this year! One of our Geese is on her nest now so hopefully she will hatch some more. They are American Buff Geese.

This all true and surprising to many of you I am sure. We use feed from our neighbors certified organic farm - Engelbert Farms. no imported feed here but grain prices are high so my eggs and meats are more costly than conventional - but o so worth it!

We will be bringing fresh Duck to Vestal Farmers' Market on Saturday! Our first try of raising Duck. They were great and really foraged well and loved to swim in our little pond! They will be very tasty and nutritious with their diet of organic grains and duck weed from the pond!
