Hope House Ministries will celebrate our 41st Anniversary on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 with an outdoor Mass beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by a simple outdoor reception. Masks are mandatory. In case of rain, Mass will be celebrated in the chapel and seating will be limited due to social distancing restrictions. ... Dear Friends, Just over a year ago, I invited you to participate in our 40th Anniversary Initiative. At that time I asked if you believed in miracles. Of course, little did any of us know what 2020 had in store for us all. The fact that we are still standing, still offering clinical and professional services to so many men, women, children, young adults and veterans, in spite of all the challenges of the shutdown, is in every way a miracle. A mighty THANK YOU is in order for ...all of you who donated to our special campaign. You are truly amazing! Because of you, we were able to accomplish the following in 2020: ~ We continued to reach those in desperate need either in person or by way of remote counseling. ~ We raised $1,801,956 toward our $2 million dollar goal. ~ We are completely mortgage free with respect to our Properties. This includes the Little Portion Friary in Mt. Sinai which we finally acquired from the Franciscan Brothers on February 26, 2021 after a massive amount of red tape. ~ And lastly, we inspired countless people to become part of our network of support for the first time through our new website, use of social media and online events. But here's the catch, we now have before us a unique opportunity to cross the finish line on our 40th Anniversary Initiative and meet our fundraising goal by the end of April. Every dollar donated between now and the end of April will be matched up to $245,000 thanks to a long time HHM supporter. What appeared to be a stretch goal is now very doable. With this in mind, will you consider making an additional gift at this time? We have trusted in Providence for nearly 41 years and, through your love and support, we have been blessed with the opportunity to help change the course of so many wonderful lives for the better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in the miracle of Hope House Ministries. A quote from a recent alumni who shared his story via our quarterly online HOPE CONNECTS gathering is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do: I know I am recovering when I step back to observe how I am responding to challenging situations.
