Last night was the final performance of the 2019 #HillCumorahPageant. As soon as the show ended, work began to strike the show from the hillside. Cast members worked together to stack the 8,000 chairs they put out more than a week ago. It was a fitting end to two weeks of laboring together in the pageant's penultimate year. The 2020 Hill Cumorah Pageant will be July 9-11 and 14-18. Cast applications open soon!

Don't miss the final performance of the 2019 #HillCumorahPageant! This year's cast has fought through all of New York's worst weather to stage this show, from torrential rain opening night to the worst heat the region has seen in years. The cast is resting out of the sun today and will be ready for this evening’s show, when the temperature will be perfect. The show starts at 9:15 p.m. As always, the production and parking are free and no tickets are required. Concessions are available on site provided by local service groups. Enjoy some amazing photos from this year's production.

The #HillCumorahPageant has been home for nearly two weeks to the Bennett family, who are featured in the popular YouTube channel The Ohana Adventure. Jase, Rachel, Klailea, Rykel, Shae, Wyatt, Evelin, and Cora have been on an exhausting new adventure with the rest of their 770 cast mates. Like the Bennetts, most of the cast is new to the pageant this year. "There is no way we could have prepared for the amount of love that we have felt from the cast, crew, audience and even our own family members while participating in the Hill Cumorah Pageant," Jase said. "This is such a special place and we feel blessed to have been able to participate and add to the story." Check out some of their behind-the-scenes look at their family's first days at the pageant. There are three more performances in the 2019 season tonight through Saturday.

Despite less than favorable weather, the #HillCumorahPageant is averaging crowds of 5,600 nightly this year. Rain today is supposed to break before the evening performance, so come prepared for any type of weather. Unless there is a significant threat of lightning or rain endangers the cast, the show will go on. Those determinations are made close to showtime, so watch this page or www.hillcumorah.org for updates. We are monitoring extreme heat for the end of the week and will determine any changes to the show on those days. Remember, the Hill Cumorah Pageant has been cancelled fewer than a dozen times in 82 years! The pageant starts at 9:15 p.m. and lasts about 75 minutes. As always, the event and parking are free and open to the public, and tickets are not required. There are three more performances, tonight through Saturday.

During the second week of the #HillCumorahPageant, the cast heads into the community to provide more than 1,800 hours of community service. Check out the work some of our cast teams did Tuesday at the Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaguia, NY, the Palmyra Town Hall, and the Wayne County Fairgrounds -- all sites within a half hour's drive of the Hill Cumorah. Local organizations have greatly appreciated the service of the pageant cast for years. The pageant cast will continue service in the region today and Thursday before swapping their work clothes for costumes. The pageant hits the stage tonight at 9:15 p.m. for the fifth performance of the 2019 season. Barring lightning, the show will go on as planned, so come prepared for any weather.

The current script of the #HillCumorahPageant was written by Orson Scott Card and was first performed on the famous hillside stage in 1988. The pageant tells stories from the Book of Mormon and how it was brought forth in our day. What is your favorite Book of Mormon story? The pageant cast is resting today. The show returns to the stage Tuesday for five more performances, ending its 2019 run Saturday. The event and parking are free and tickets are not required. Enjoy these stunning photographs of this year's cast taken by our staff photographer, Matt Barr.

Last week, the cast enjoyed a musical performance from a cast member during their Sunday service. Enjoy this music from the Hill Cumorah and have a great Sabbath day!

As the crowds pour in for the third show of the 2019 #HillCumorahPageant, the amazing costuming staff is backstage getting 770 cast members ready for the show. That's after weeks of laundering, repairing, and replacing different costume elements. The pageant has five different dressing rooms, as well as shops where volunteers maintain beards and wigs. After Thursday night's rainy opening, getting ready for the rest of the weekend's shows meant working overtime to get costumes dry. Take a peek at what the costume staff does daily.
