Pultneyville's Crescent Beach in the Town of Williamson had 'something for everyone' in the 1920's, '30's and '40's. Thanks to the emerging prevalence of the au...tomobile, people came from nearby towns, and adjacent Monroe County, to spend their leisure time swimming, having a picnic, playing horseshoes or just relaxing on the beach. This photo, circa 1928, also shows many of the commercial structures of this former lakeport hamlet in the background. Thanks to Williamson Town Historian, Perry Howland for today's historic photo.
