I had to return to this property to pick up radon and reinspect after a plumber had dewinterized the place. I walked into this: a water heater spewing water out of its open TPR valve. I imagine it was opened when winterizing the place to allow the water heater to drain more effectively. Water had been spraying out for about 2 hours when I arrived. The crawl space had a couple inches of standing water in it. If this didn’t get caught it could have been a lot worse.
