I am sorry to report the death of art historian Frank Popper at the age of 102. His 1993 book Art of the Electronic Age is essential reading for those interested to see where holography fits in. You can read a tribute here: https://josephnechvatal.wordpress.com/2020/07/13/on-the-death-of-frank-popper/?fbclid=IwAR0zzGKrBeokwEs-3P476JUJy3Mf9O9G-kPJi4M2F8TRWsQHRAVu32VTCmo&utm_source=LNN+subscribers&utm_campaign=5daf26ee5b-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_07_17_06_36&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_59c5038641-5daf26ee5b-108671513&mc_cid=5daf26ee5b&mc_eid=62ff115657

Tracy Abbott Szatan 'Mnemoptics' LIGHT WINDOWS, E. 7th St Brooklyn 11218 New York #LightWindows Final performance Saturday May 30, 8:45-9:15pm (check the HoloCenter.org map for where to look if you are local)... 'Mnemoptics is a projected light installation in which bodies of refracted light, like people, co-exist, encounter, influence and emerge from one another. A study of light and of relations, Mnemoptics explores the interplay of color as a parallel to the myriad ways in which individuals can affect each other, and on how these relationships become the building blocks for larger networks and structures.' - Tracy Abbott Szatan, 2020 Nearby and online from 9:15pm is 'Ocean Ave' an aquatic projection of live liquid visuals by Genevieve HK & Rachael Guma A Clockface Orange @clockfaceorange #tracyabbottszatan #spacelight #saturdaynightart #projectionart #feelingwithlight #brooklynstreetart #liquidlightshow #SeeTheLight

CELEBRATION IN AN AGE OF ISOLATION presented as part of LIGHT WINDOWS by recent resident artist Jen Valender takes a moment to reflect on the social sacrifices ...experienced by the community during this period of isolation. How are individuals marking life milestones whilst in solitude? Are we adapting to social distancing and adjusting to loneliness? . For more information on Jen Valender, the Light Windows project produced by Center for the Holographic Arts or other works as part of this project, please follow the link found in our bio. . #lightwindows #projectionart #residency #collingwoodyards #melbourne See more
