Coronavirus -- pretty scary, but it might not need to be. In the flu epidemic of 1918 regular doctors lost up to 30-40% of their patients. Homeopaths lost 1-2% of their patients. There were a handful of wonderful homeopathic remedies used then, which might be applicable today. Although the "genus epidemics" -- that specific remedy to treat an epidemic -- has yet to be determined for Coronavirus, there are a group of remedies that might be beneficial and would be good to ha...ve on hand. They are: Gelsemium, Mercurius, Bryonia, Eupatorium perfoliatum. These remedies are readily available at most health food stores in a 30c potency. Two other remedies which may also be important are Oscillococcinum (nicknamed Oscillo) and Influenzinum. Oscillo is sometimes available at pharmacies like CVS or Rite Aid. Take Oscillo immediately at the first sign of any flu-like symptom and repeat as indicated, about every 4-8 hours. Lyme disease. I got bitten again. Bummer. I have no idea how many times I have been bitten. This one isn’t a typical bullseye rash, but not too far removed. Under normal allopathic care, a doctor would put me on extended antibiotic treatment, for as much as a year. Sadly, with the high incidence of Lyme disease in this area of the country and the great likelihood of being bitten, I could theoretically be on year-round antibiotics indefinitely. Not an ideal situation! Ac...tually, I have a client who came to me for homeopathic treatment who continued to have Lyme symptoms after taking antibiotics for a full year. Fortunately, there is a lot that homeopathy can do for Lyme, especially during the initial stages. The first remedies to consider are either Ledum palustre or Apis mellifica, depending on the nature of the bite. Those remedies will reduce the significance of the bite and reduce the intensity of the initial symptoms. Some authors have reported that by using either of those two remedies, Lyme might not develop further, even with very evident bullseye markings. After these remedies have actedif conditions persistthings become more complicated. Then specific remedies for the individual (not the disease) are needed. Those remedies would be determined by the exact nature of the symptoms the individual experiences. This is true especially because Lyme disease manifests differently in each person. There could be 20 or more remedies which would be effective, though there are a few that tend to be indicated more frequently. Give yourself the opportunity to heal without the need for damaging antibiotics. Allow your body to heal itself! Ticks and Lyme disease don’t need to control your life. Try homeopathy!
