We would like to take this time to thank our amazing staff, loyal customers and friends for being there for us during these hard times. Especially the holidays. They are difficult enough to get threw but even worse during COVID-19. Working all day with a mask on for those that do this knows it’s not easy at all and the health risks we take as essential workers can be scary. Most of all jason And myself would like to thank our mother Rose. As some of you may know she retired... in 2015. She felt life is short and she wanted to enjoy her senior years not working, spending most of her time in Florida and coming to New York to spend time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She actually gets to enjoy the holidays for the first time in her life instead of working countless hours around the clock especially during Christmas time. This year was hard for all of but she got a covid test and her and Guy Balzo got in the car and drove countless hours to come back to NY then got tested again. She had no intention on working Wich also is not safe for her and very uncomfortable to wear a mask for countless hours a day. We ended up needing her help. The last week became overwhelming and we were short staffed. With out hesitation our mom was there, countless hours by our side. Up early and home late. Just like the old days . Not what she had planned for her Christmas this year and she was tired but she didn’t complain. She knows how hard it is. At the end of the day you can always count on your family our mom to be there when things get tough. THANK YOU mom. We love And appreciate all you do. Risking her own health to be there for us and our business. She did say she enjoyed it lol and she missed working with her old staff. Feel free to post below any bakery related stories you would like to share about our mom Rose. I’m sure she would love to follow this post and read them. There is 50 years of business here so I’m sure plenty of stories to tell.
