Tough situation, even tougher invasive species....We've got a lot of faith in the intelligent hardworking staff at the Rome Fish Hatchery and NYSDEC. Honestly, it's sad to read how much negativity the Facebook community has directed at the Hatchery over this... Catching zebra mussels as juveniles - microscopic organisms - in a location with such proximity to a body of water as busy as Delta Lake shows just how diligent this facility is..... And the (grand scheme) short-term preventative measures being taken here will save a HUGE span of pristine waters New Yorkers can continue to be proud of for generations to come. We look forward to the future of a place that's helped create so many memories.

8 Years Strong!!! Where did the time go?!?!? ....make it over the 2 year hump? Pshh..... What a journey it's been... and we're JUST as thankful today as that day so long ago. ... Without the never-ending, overwhelming support of our customers, our people, and our friends & family along the way we would have never made it!! Today, I'd like to give a special thanks to my mom, Debra Cole-Degni, who almost every one through the doors knows. Since day 1... even though she thought I was crazy and had no idea what a bait shop was... She has dedicated herself and all of her spare time to not only Hometown B&T, but to all of you, and most importantly to me.
