Our heritage Black Australorp chicks are 6 weeks old and loving being out in the spring weather. Honey Pot Farm breeds and sells our sustainable chicks. We strive for healthy birds by simply letting a chicken live like a chicken. One little guy got his first worm today.
Let's talk turkey. It is time to order turkey poults for those aspiring farmers and also time to order your heritage Thanksgiving bird from Honey Pot Farm. We breed and hatch our Narragansett Turkeys from our sustainable flock. Day old turkey poults are $15 a piece. Our brined and processed fresh turkeys are $8 per pound and will range from 8-16 pounds. Please reserve your bird with a deposit by May 1. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Honey Pot Farm hatched our first batch of heritage Black Australorp chicks. The fertility rate was 88% and the hatch rate was 94%. We have 62 healthy chicks from 75 set eggs. 66/75 were fertile and 62/66 hatched. Thank you Pat Whitiker for the excellent genetics and exceptional mentoring.
The Black Australorps have hatched! This is a hardy dual purpose heritage bird perfect for any homestead. The chicks are $6 each with a 15 chick minimum.
