Calving season is in full bloom and we are happy as we move into spring. Just hoping that we can get some warmer weather so that our hay can begin to grow. So far Mother Nature is not cooperating

As we move forward in calving season you realize that not every new calf comes into this world full of spit & vinegar. Sometimes they need a little TLC

Sending out a quick Note. These are certainly unprecedented and challenging times full of uncertainty We will be taking orders for pork as piglets will be available soon. In addition we will be sending steers to the butcher in about a month if all goes well. If anyone is interested in putting an order in please let us know Pork generally is available in October Beef will be available in mid to late May and then again in the fall. Please be safe and hopefully we will see you all again soon

Every year we enter the start of hay season with great enthusiasm and energy. And every year we face challenges with machinery, weather, time, fatigue and fitting everything In. This year was no different but as we finish up first cutting with full barns and satisfaction of being able to do what we do we have to thank all who helped and give thanks to our god and country that make this possible.

Very wet weather on the farm has led to really sloppy conditions for our herd. This weekend we separated out group of bull calves from their mothers. Most were so big that they had a hard time trying to nurse and their moms Need some time to prep for winter and spring calving. All in all things went well
