Hubbards Hounds Dog Rescue

Lenny is home!! He came into Hubbard's Hounds just before Thanksgiving, only a couple days before the rescue sadly lost its founder/director, Susan Hubbard. Lenny had a couple near adoptions over the next few months, but things just didn't quite work out for him... He was a favorite with his foster family, but they were worried that new Covid restrictions would mean he'd never find his forever home. Luckily Cayuga Dog Rescue stepped in to lend a helping hand and soon, applica...tions were pouring in for this sweet boy. Ultimately, his forever family DID find him during all the chaos and we couldn't be happier for them or for Lenny! (Special thanks to Bed and Biscuit of Ithaca - Country Club for Dogs and Cats as well, for helping with Lenny's social and exercise needs during the last several weeks!) Congratulations to Jenny Bouchard-Mitchell (and daughter) on making Lenny a part of your family! We wish you lots of laughs and tons of snuggles for years to come.

Hi all! We are not renewing our website and, although it's currently still up and active, I'm not sure how long that will last. It is with tremendous sadness that we share news of Susan Hubbard's passing. Sue was completely dedicated to her family and to this rescue and we are absolutely devastated to lose such a wonderfully caring person. She has saved so many dogs and touched so many lives because of her passion for rescue and we are all incredibly blessed to have known and worked with her. It will take some time to determine the path forward for the rescue so we do ask for your patience at present,... but rest assured that we are working with Sue's spirit in our hearts. Lily also needs a foster/forever home. She went into heat before we could get her spayed, but has had her HW treatment already. As soon as possible, we will have her spayed and she is up to date with shots. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Lily, please submit an application on our website.

This little guy needs a foster or forever home. He needs to come up soon and has no where to go. He likes other dogs, probably around 3-4 months, not quite house trained but working on it and is about 20-25 lbs. He likes to chase/play rough with cats. Great with people. Do you have a spot for him?

Congrats to Rose on her wedding today! This is her rescue Romeo! I just love this picture! He has had and will continue to have a wonderful life with a little sister he loves!
