Here’s an old photo of Miss Rachel holding my daughter Ayla when she was 2 months old ... and at this point I’d already known Miss Rachel for many years! Ayla is 12 now. Rachel truly is and always has been part of my dance family!

I have no idea what they’re doing, but they had fun. Our annual company party looked a little different this year, but we were all even more grateful than usual. Thank you for the amazing and thoughtful gifts. And as Ayla said, it finally feels like Christmas.

About 2 weeks ago, I got the sad news that my childhood dance teachermy first dance teacherhad passed away in July. Her name was Leah Flock. She had opened the Leah Flock Dance Studio when she was just 17 years old. She was always ageless to me and I never had any idea how old (or young) she was.
