Hudson Valley Garlic Festival 02.05.2021

Just spoke to the vendors who are holding the giveaway. It will not be on their individual pages until Saturday. You have to click on the vendor, like their page and then tag someone in the comments of the post on their page. You can do this for each vendor. Looks like I jumped the gun. I was just so excited to be doing something for this year!

Hi All!! At this point in time we would be running around like crazy people in anticipation of the festival. Sadly, we are not. We do hope that you will go to our webpage to contact your favorite vendors. I called JD Gourmet to order some of their outstanding garlic powder. I was lucky to get 2 bottles so I will have plenty until next year. We all have our fingers crossed that 2021 will happen!!!!!!!! STAY WELL!!

It is so nice to hear from so many of you! All of our vendors from 2019 are listed on our webpage hvgf.org. Please go there to contact the farmers and vendors. We will all miss going to our favorite spots at the festival. My husband and I had a mental list of the places we need to go based on prior festivals. There is a tab for the festival map from 2019 if this is any help.

Hudson Valley Garlic Festival 16.03.2021

I am sorry to announce that the 2020 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival has been cancelled amid COVID-19 public health concerns. Here is an excerpt the Chairperson's (Richard Kappler) press release: As a result of the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival. The safety of our community, the festival's visitors, and its vendors is the number one priority of our club. The... current trend of rising infection rates whenever there are large public gatherings and the only safe way to avoid spikes being to maintain social distancing, made planning for a safe festival in 2020 impossible for our group of volunteers. We are heartbroken that our garlic friends and vendors will not be able to celebrate the harvest of the stinking rose with us this Fall as they have since 1992,but be assured that we will be back in 2021. The festival dates in 2021 will be October 2nd and 3rd. Be careful and stay well. We will see you in 2021.
