Breathe easy! We have installed surgically clean air purifiers in each of the operatories. They are a medical grade system that is one of the most advanced on the market. Dr. Julie DeSimone Larsen has been sending emails to our Huntington Bay Dental team during this time and it sure is keeping everyone informed and connected! Last week she wrote about the Pink Moon! She includes a dental pearl in her email as well as a fun fact- keeping our goal of learning new things everyday in full effect! "April 7th is the Super Pink Moon. When I read that I was psyched because that just sounds cool. At 10:35pm EST, the moon will be closer to the Earth... than any other full moon this year. It will be 2020’s biggest and brightest. Alas, the moon will not look pink. It is called the Pink Moon for the Eastern North American flower, Phlox Subulata or moss pink that blooms in April. It’s also known as the Paschal moon because it helps the Catholic Church set the date for Easter." We hope you ALL get to take a moment tonight and see the PINK MOON! We sure miss seeing our patients routinely, but please KNOW we are here for you. Attention friends: "Give Kids A Smile" fundraiser spin class "turning Miles into Smiles". All proceeds raised plus bike registration fess will go to " The Suffolk County Dental Society" toward hosting the "Give Kids A Smile". This event is on February 1, 2020 where kids up to the age of 18 are treated to a full day at The Riverhead Aquarium. They will receive free dental cleaning, dental health education, exams and a ton of fun and entertainment. If you would like to a make a monetary donation you can make a check payable to "SCDS" and mail it to Hunting Bay Dental. Thank you and hope to see you there!
