This week we celebrate and honor those who are typically the first point of contact for those who are in need of emergency services. Thank you for your service and professionalism in providing such critical services.

Redundancy is critically important for dispatch alerting, and IaR has that covered! IaR is specifically designed to provide our users with the reliability that proper redundancy provides. We do this in multiple ways: 1. Alerting Types: IaR receives dispatch notifications from your dispatch center both via a direct feed from their CAD system AND by capturing your pager tones and recording the actual live dispatch feed via TwoToneDetect by IaR. So if the CAD goes down, we ...still capture the pager alerts, and if the pager system goes down, we still receive the CAD feed. 2. Alert notifications to your users: IaR supplements your primary paging notifications by delivering your incident alerts to your members by a variety of simultaneous messaging pathways, all controllable by your users in their member profiles. Your members can receive their dispatch alerts by text message (at up to two different addresses), email (again, at 2 different addresses) AND app push notification to their iOS and Android apps (on an unlimited number of mobile devices). Users don't have to choose between these methods; they can and should receive them via ALL of these methods simultaneously (at no additional cost!). Did you know? TwoToneDetect by IaR detects your two-tone pages, records your dispatch audio, and imports it directly into your IamResponding system. Members then receive alerts and the audio right through their IaR apps. No CAD is needed, and this can be set up with no involvement by your dispatch center. Learn more here: https://www.iamresponding.com/pages/TTD If you are already an IaR subscriber, this feature is included in your subscription at no additional cost. If this has not yet been activated for your department/agency, simply email [email protected] to have it activated.

For those in the snow zones: With all the snow this week, please remember to take a few minutes and clear your fire hydrants if they are covered or blocked by snowbanks. Remember hydrants are shared (hydrants are not just for the home that has it in their yard), so this is a shared responsibility. Why? Fire doubles in size in less than 60 seconds. How long would it take the fire department to clear and be able to access it if they needed it for your home? Thanks for attending our PSA and Ted Talk.
