Happy election day! Please remember that whatever the outcome there is a larger system at play. There are always unseen forces moving and guiding us toward the Light. And the candidate who is elected is the one who needs to be elected for the purpose of ultimately bringing more Light to the planet. As A Course In Miracles says "Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God."

In the 12 Stages, which are distinct levels of consciousness and connection with the organizing forces of creation, Stage 11 is where are a servant to humanity. You see the darkness and you choose to illuminate it. You are humbled by the enormity of creation and the gap of where you are in the bigger cosmology. And we choose to serve Life by sharing the gifts of our Being. And we do so without the need for any recognition or compensation. This couple is an embodied representation of Stage 11. My teacher, Donny Epstein, has identified 4 types of pain. Each increasing in intensity, and increasing impact on our life and the lives of others. The 4th type & the most intense pain is associated with not knowing your gifts, not giving your gifts, OR not receiving the gifts of another--as a gift. It is so apparent in this age of, dare I say, (anti)-social media that many are not receiving the gifts of others. Someone writes a post with the intention of being a mensch (a g...ood person who does the right thing for the right reason) with the outcome being to Tikun Olam (repair the world). Instead of immediately dismissing the post, or trying to prove how you are right and the post's author is wrong, or trying to show off how you need to bolster your ego, if instead you were to receive the gift of the post, as a gift, and allow it to germinate in your body-mind-soul then as Robert Frost said you will have take the road-less-traveled and that would have made all the difference. --Louis Abate, DC See more
