April is Jazz Appreciation Month. While a very ‘American’ genre much of the music has been influenced from global cultures- the beat of the congas, the sound of cow bell, the fast beats of Afro-Cuban sounds, the mournful sound of the Indian sitar. For several years, @immersionjourneys has run jazz festival trips to #southafrica and eagerly await the day we can showcase the music of this diverse nation. Dambulla cave temple in Sri Lanka. This UNESCO World Heritage Site in the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka dating back to the 1st century BCE.
