In Step Farm

Here comes spring!!!! Yay!!! Riding outside is such a pleasure (mostly, there are some ghosts lol!). There is now lots of work to do to get cleaned up for the hopefully fun times ahead! P.S. Has anyone noticed Holly Gibbs cantering around?!?!?!?? I am so happy!!

We are sure looking forward to warmer temps and hopefully NO MORE SNOW!! However, Holly Gibbs and her mare Ella, and Heidi Chen and the timeless Tank, put their best foot forward yesterday and had some great lessons!! Great work ladies!! And, special additional shout out to Heidi for being so dedicated to endure all of the winter driving and SHOVELING to arrive for her lesson every week!!! <3 <3 Keep up the great work ladies!! And we have a rehab project making progress!! Stay tuned!

Soaking in the feeling of hard or tedious work rewarded!! Patricia McLaughlin and Roger Mosconi’s Jezebel put in a very ‘mature’ training session today lol! Holly Gibbs and Miss Ella(tude) lol, are coming together!! So happy for them! And my hospital projects all got good reviews today!!! Fingers crossed for continued healing for them! So, no asshole horses today, but, drinking out of my favorite wine glass just the same!! Today is a good day

What makes me happy when I am feeling low?? Well, my wonderful ponies, that is for sure. Specifically when the oldest one is the naughtiest on a cold winters day lol!!! It makes my heart full to know that he is enjoying life and thriving in his golden years!! Here’s to you Tanqueray, keep on going with your red self!!! The girls were all wonderfully well behaved. A much needed good day.

First weekend of the New year is in the books and it was a good one! Had some great training rides on Jez and Tank, who now counter canters....... :-). Also I have been remiss in welcoming the newest kids on the block, Holly Gibbs and Fabiella aka Ella! Ella also did a tremendous job this morning, as did Holly in her lesson yesterday. Welcome aboard and here is hoping for all good things in the future!!

Not my usual Thanksgiving Eve, but what has been the usual this year? But, I did thoroughly enjoy the two great rides that I had today on the Ocala girls, Jezebel and Rhapsodie VT!! They have come along really well since they arrived on Long Island and it makes me happy! They both challenge me in their own ways, and are helping me to become a better rider. Thanks girls for today and thank you to their owners, Patricia McLaughlin and Roger Mosconi, and Barbara Loew respectively, for trusting me with their training. <3. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

A little late in posting, but, a shout out to the little lady Rhapsodie. Yesterday she really didn't want to, but, somewhere in the middle of the ride, she decided she would, and then she did some of her best work!! And was noticed!! Thank you Didi, I feel it was a special moment in our relationship that you decided to try when you really didn't want to <3. Spots open for training through out the winter with In Step Farm! In Step Farm would like to say CHEERS! to all who survived their indoor arena experience today!!! Noodle and I had a ‘survival ride’ as I am sure some of you did as well!! Welcome to silly season!! Otherwise, good training and lessons!! Good job everyone!!

All of my riders, and ponies, did so well this weekend :-)!! So proud of everyone's hard work, and navigating a rare weekend in the indoor! Cheers ladies!

All riders did great work this weekend with their horses!!! So wonderful to see their progress! And the old geezer horses were feeling good!! Happy to see Krissy Sommermeyer and Tennie again! I am resting up today for what looks to be a busy fall schedule! Enjoy your day all!!

Not the show we had hoped for at Centerline Events in Saugerties, nevertheless we tried our hearts out, well, one of us did......The judges comment that sums it up is "fabulous mare, very naughty". So, it is back to the grindstone for me and Miss Jezebel. Thank you to Patricia McLaughlin and Roger Mosconi for allowing me the privilege of showing their horse, Lori Hibbard for grooming for me in her most unfavorite weather, Heidi Chen, once again, for the terrific accommodations and local delicacies, and all who asked and supported us in our efforts. It was good to be away a bit and see some friends that I haven't seen in a while. Horses........smh.
