Namibia has one of the lowest population densities in the world, and if it weren’t for the occasional herd of elephants or impala, a traveler here might think she was on Mars. Often described as Africa’s final frontier, the landscape consists mostly of desert, sand dunes and huge open spacesideal for hiking and tracking wildlife like desert-adapted lions, rhinos, cheetahs and giraffes. No wonder it's on our list as one of the best spots in the world for a wilderness vacation. Head to the link below to see all 10 destinations! #HowYouTravelMatters https://www.indagare.com//ar/ultimate-wilderness-vacations

What can visitors to the Washington State refuge expect? Conor loves the park for its beautiful coastline, rainforests with towering conifers and high Alpine mountains dotted with glaciers. Feedback from a member's recent stay at Shou Sugi Ban House, a destination spa in the Hamptons inspired by Japanese ryokans: It was, overall, lovely. Covid precautions were very strong: temperature and oxygen check upon arrival, everyone in masks throughout the propertyemployee and guestsand good spacing at meals, so it feels very comfortable. Spa is very nice with very good massages, and the heated watsu pool was great...Common space décor is stunning and comfortable. Rel...axing in the Main Barn is a highlightcomfy sofas, books, and you can order specialty latte drinks. We would recommend it to others who want to be somewhere intimate that feels very safe." Rising to 19,341 feet above sea level from the plains near the municipality of Moshi, in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa, putting it among the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on each continent, and making it the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. For Indagare's Diana Li, reaching its summit was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. "Instead of just crossing a destination off my bucket list, I traveled within and discovered more about myself than ...my surroundings," she explains. "I had time to listen and be fully present. I focused on achieving a goal with a community that taught me oneness and perseverance. Kilimanjaro stripped away all distractions to show me that connection, mindfulness and wilderness make me happiest." Which adventures are on your must-do list? Contact us to hear more about options for future travels, and read more about Diana's pre-Covid trip to the top of Kilimanjaro: https://www.indagare.com//peak-experience-summiting-kilima #HowYouTravelMatters

Thrilling zodiac tours, ice crashing into the sea and close encounters with penguins...Antarctica offers plenty of epic moments. But, for Indagare Impact Manager Colin Heinrich, it was the rare opportunity for silencethe "quiet, introspective times that strike when the sun is near the horizon and there’s no one else around"that stood out most. He scouted the White Continent last year, in advance of our upcoming Impact #InsiderJourneys trip there in October, led by indagarec...eo Melissa Biggs Bradley. Colin has also shared stories from his adventure with public school students through Reach the World. "I'm excited bout how Reach the World's virtual travel experiences help students explore the far reaches of the globe," says Melissa, who sits on the organization's board.
