In March, Jeff Mermelstein was commissioned by ICP as one of five alumni to make work in response to the COVID-19 crisis. He has been photographing the streets on New York City for nearly 40 years, but due to the pandemic, he was forced to photograph pretty much exclusively on the streets of Brooklyn, something he very rarely did before. Mermelstein joins ICP’s Managing Director of Programs David Campany for a three-part lecture series beginning at 1 PM ET to discuss his career and the practice of street photography.
