A beautiful evergreen for any landscape, Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf Pyramid', aka 'Vanderwolf' limber pine, showcases soft bundles of long twisted silvery blue needles. Its dense, compact pyramidal habit makes it a natural candidate for Long Island landscapes. Limber pine is best grown in full sun, and moist, well-drained soils. Heavy or frequently wet soils need to be sufficiently amended with compost or avoided. And if you garden in deer country, Limber pine is reported to be deer resistant
