The gift of Tea
Will make this!!!
Pine, one of the most widespread medicinal evergreens in the world, exudes a honey-like pitch, or resin, used for many different uses in many different applicat...ions. My personal favorite application of course is, you guessed it, incense! Which it can be used to bind loose incense blends with its sticky adhering properties, and is used for its medicine and refreshing evergreen aromas. But I also make use of Pine's great topical healing benefits in salve or balm form. It has long been used topically by many Native American tribes for healing wounds and many skin issues, as well as for treating pain and inflammation, among its many other uses. As incense or taken internally, Pine resin is expectorant in its properties. This can be very helpful when congestion and phlegm have the best of you, or when there are deep, wet coughs of the lower respiratory tract. Overall Pine resin is a great remedy to help treat root causes and symptoms of colds, flu, sinusitis, even certain cases of asthma, and It's antimicrobial properties make it a great candidate for cleansing the atmosphere and killing bacteria. Next time you're out in nature and spot a Pine tree, walk up to it and you'll likely notice resin dripping down its trunk or in dried chunks on the surface. The dried stuff is easiest to use in incense form! Make a connection with the tree, observe it, sit and meditate with it for a while in its natural habitat for a while and you'll likely learn something new about this ancient tree. Bring a piece of resin home with you afterwards and burn it on hot charcoal and feel into its aromas and effects.
