@thehoodies is the latest in the long tradition of rappers to spit over a beat that sampled Ike’s Mood I by Isaac Hayes. In the past, legends like @iamcormega and @beaniesigelsp used beats that featured the Hayes piano loop played over boom bap drums. More recently, @getbenny and @djgreenlantern collaborated on Fat Dom that truly revived the classic Hip-Hop sound.
