The message below will be updated later today on their website but they wanted to share it with hour travel agent 1st as soon as possible. That’s the value of a great partnership. Here is the official update: At Allianz we continue to monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and are working to provide the best coverage and service to our par...tners and policy holders. Until further notice, regardless of the plan purchase date, we are providing coverage for emergency medical care and emergency medical transportation claims due to COVID-19 that otherwise meet the conditions of coverage for customers whose plan includes those benefits. Additionally, we offer travel and medical assistance to all of our customers who need help while traveling, such as locating medical facilities or rebooking transportation. Our assistance team is available 24/7/365 to serve you. Please note: COVID-19 is a known event as of January 22 and recognized as an epidemic as of February 3. Trip cancellations and interruptions due to known events, epidemics, or fear of travel are generally not covered. This may vary by state. We review every claim based on its unique facts and circumstances. We hope this will address a major concern for you and your clients. As a reminder, if a client has a travel emergency have them contact Allianz and submit a claim with supporting documentation so that Allianz can review it in detail.
