We finished our show year out at The BHA banquet. Between riders and horses everyone did awesome Congratulations to year end champion Braylin in the walk division, year end reserve Mikayla in the walk trot division, year end reserve Ryder in the intermediate division, year end champion Ashlee in the novice division, year end reserve Abbey in the novice division, year end reserve Morgan in the open hunter, schooling hunter and 2 ft 6 division and Year end champion Anisa in the 2 ft 3 division. Congratulations to our super awesome horse of the year Pirate, Miss lady in 5th, Widgeon in 6th and Brydee 10th.

Holy long horseshow So proud of my amazing riders that had to roll with some pretty big punches, from massive classes, being physically run into to saucy horses and last minute changes they not only rose to the challenges they excelled. Angela and Bear went into 3 divisions over three days with a rough start but a strong finish, placing third in not one but two hunter under saddle classes, 6th out of 28 in their hunter over fences round and some reserves (7th). They also co...mpeted at 2 ft 9 for their first time ever and rocked it! Morgan was my never ending helper, from schooling horses to fixing hair to cleaning the tack room She took Amalia into the child adult 2 ft 6 division and placed against trainers in her equitation out of 27 riders. Kathy and Darby continued to be their consistent selves, consistently happy, consistently calm and consistently too many strides They also happened to win champion the costume class out of fifty plus entries and a reserve in their equitation class. Abbey took the saying they knock me down I get back up again literally this weekend. From getting run into, to a misbehaving horses-she just kept getting up, getting on and getting it done finishing strong with a relaxed diagonal line (something we’ve been striving for all summer). Zoe took her stress and anxiety from the large classes and turned it around absorbing a last minute switch, she rode confidently and even rode out of the ring with a placing or two. Mikayla continues to impress me, we had to make a lot of last minute changes and she ended up competing in her first walk trot canter classes on a pony she’d barely ever ridden and doesn’t the girl come out with a fourth place out of 19 in her equitation over fences class?! And last but not least Ryder competed on his pony Amalia for the first time and pinned second and two fourths in his jumping out of 19 and a fifth in both his equitation and pleasure on the flat. My mantra for the whole show has been it’s not how we start it’s how we finish and boy did these riders finish strong, great job everyone! A huge congratulations to our riders that qualified for year end awards from the BHA horse show series. Awesome job everyone!! I also want to thank all the riders that competed on Pirate this year (Mikayla, Ryder, Abbey, Anisa and Morgan), without you he could not have won Horse of the year! And a huge shoutout to our awesome lesson horses who finished in the top ten for horse of the year. Pirate placing 1st, Lady placing 5th, Widgeon placing 6th and Brydee placing 10th. Great horses make great riders and we’ve got some of the best ones around

Our last Barneveld show of the year, it was definitely a beautiful day for it! Grayson continues to grow in leadline and even won his suitability class, Braylin went in and rocked by winning champion in the walk division and some nice ribbons in walk trot including going over cross rails for the first time! Mikayla made me beyond proud with a difficult horse over fences, she never gave up and had a clean final round with some nice ribbons! Abbey won champion in the novice, sh...e’s had a tough show season this year and really worked hard to achieve it. Ryder struggled a bit to remember to check his leads but had a strong showing in the intermediate division, he then took Amalia into the novice for a hunter hack class and pinned second Kathy and Darby went into the schooling division (after having a few weeks off) and held their own with some nice ribbons. Anisa took Pirate into the 2ft 3 division and won champion, Morgan went into the 2 ft division with Amalia and took champion and Pirate into 2 ft 6 and got reserve champion. Super long day today!! A huge congratulations to all our riders that showed today at Barneveld. Morgan took champion in the schooling hunter on Amalia and took Reserve champion on pirate in the open division and 2ft 6 division, Anisa took reserve champion on pirate in the 2 ft 3 division, Ashlee took champion in the novice division on widgeon, Abbey took some nice ribbons including winning her hunter hack in the novice division, Ryder has continued to grown on Brydee and took champion in the intermediate division, Zoe had some nice ribbons with widgeon before taking a detour with a standard, Makayla and Braylin went into their beginner division and did some spectacular firsts (mostly involving cantering and fences just to give me a heart attack but they did great!!) and Grayson had some good ribbons in leadline. Great job everyone!!
