We will be opening tomorrow (Friday, December 18) at 10:00am. The JCC follows the Vestal School District snow day schedule. Since Vestal schools are closed, the JCC UPK programs are closed for the entire day. The JCC will be open for full day preschool and kids connection. If you would like to make a swim/fitness apt call the office at 724-2417 and leave us a message.

Obstacle course hallway edition!

The Jewish Community Center is looking to hire a MATURE, EXPERIENCED toddler teacher. The details of these positions are as listed below. This job is 42 hours a... week 8:30am-5:30pm or 7:15am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Would prefer an individual that is familiar with ITERS and NAEYC standards. Pay is $14-$16 an hour based on experience. - Full-time, year round - Benefits available - Sick and personal time offered upon hiring, vacation time after 1 year - Complimentary JCC membership for employee's household, this includes access to the fitness facility and pool. - Monthly training hours -50% off childcare Credentials needed: - A minimum of an associates in Early Childhood Education or related field. -At least 1 year experience working with toddlers -TB Test and recent physical -Fingerprinting (paid for) Job Responsibility: - Creating weekly lessons plans in accordance to the JCC's educational philosophy and standard. - Attend monthly staff training -Communicate with parents -Take children swimming -Helping children with potty training and diapering -keeping a log of class attendance -able to carry children up to 45 pounds and sit on low chairs and on the floor to communicate with children at eye level We have a very active center so we are looking for a very active individual.

After two weeks of exciting specialty camps we are on our last day! We had mad scientists, LEGO builders, JCC Survivors and art! Thank you to all of our parents for helping us adhere to our drop off/pick up policies and for helping to keep everything running smoothly with all of the regulations we have had to follow. We had a blast even in masks!
