My favorite story: As a young lawyer, my father, James H. Fisher, Esq., represented a client who had been accused of murder. During a meeting, the client told my father that he would try to convince the Judge that he was criminally insane. My father wished him well and did not see the client for a long time. 6 months later, my father received a phone call from this client asking for a visit from my father. The client was a patient in the Matteawan State Hospital for the Cri...minally Insane in Beacon, NY. When my father arrived at the Matteawan State Hospital, my father's client told him, "Jimmy, you've got to get me out of here. The people in here are crazy." It always brings a smile to my face when I think of my father's visit with his "crazy" client. https://en.wikipedia.org//Matteawan_State_Hospital_for_the

Why everyone should streak. Jerry Seinfeld was once asked how he became a world class comedian. Like all comedians, Seinfeld struggled for years as a comedian, but he wrote at least one joke every day. Over time, Seinfeld sorted out his best jokes and discarded the rest. Seinfeld never broke the streak of writing at least 1 joke every day. Seth Godin, thought leader and author, has written one blog post every day for 4,105 days, or 11 years.... What is the longest standing ovation in major league baseball history? 22 minutes. That is the duration of the standing ovation for Cal Ripken when he surpassed Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played (2,131). Here's what Seinfeld, Godin and Cal Ripken discovered: "Consistently doing a small thing over time will yield awesome results." "Streaking", by Jeffery & Jami Downs. "Streaking bridges the gap between who you are and who you always imagined you could be." "Streaking", by Jeffery & Jami Downs What areas of your life could benefit from consistent success every day? This could be jogging at least 1 mile, writing a blog post, writing a handwritten letter, etc. https://www.amazon.com/Streaking-Practice-Cons//1989603467

To celebrate World Health Day, we offer our best tip for health and fitness. You already know that there is nothing more important than your health, but what do you do about it? For many of us, nothing. And that's a shame because you are useless to your family without your health. Diets and a gym membership are a good start, but they are missing a secret ingredient to good health: Personal, daily accountability.... MyBodyTutor is the only health and fitness organization (to my knowledge) that provides the daily, personal accountability that is essential to long-term weight loss and good health. With My Body Tutor, you are assigned a body tutor and your food consumption and exercise are monitored on the MBT website and you receive an accountability phone call from your tutor EVERY DAY. If you're not following the plan, your tutor will put you back on track. The website of My Body Tutor has graphs showing your progress in weight loss, exercise, sleep, etc. Your tutor will inspire, motivate and hold you accountable when you slip up. All of this is done every single day. There is nothing like it! If you want to take control of your health, give My Body Tutor a shot. You won't regret. https://www.mybodytutor.com/ Adam Gilbert

Today is National Dandelion Day. Did you know? Russians cherish dandelions for their beauty and dandelions were an alternative source for making rubber in the former Soviet Union. ... The root of the dandelion contains 15% latex, the raw material to make rubber. The Russian dandelion, native to Kazakhstan, was cultivated in the Soviet Union as a domestic source of rubber in the 1930s to 1950s and after World War II, to help combat the rubber shortage in Europe. Because of the invention of synthetic rubber, the dandelion was mostly forgotten. But to this day, the dandelion is admired for its beauty in Russia.

Today is opening day for major league baseball. Did you know? The first U.S. President to throw the first pitch of a game was President William H. Taft in 1910.... President Harry Truman was the first southpaw to throw a first pitch. The first pitch was always thrown from the stands until President Ronald Reagan threw the first pitch from the mound for a Cubs game in 1988. President Gerald Ford (an All-American football player in college) threw two first pitches at the 1976 All-Star game, one with his right arm and one with his left arm. President Ford's first pitches were caught by catchers, Johnny Bench and Thurman Munson. Without question, the best throwing form for a Presidential first pitch was President John F. Kennedy, who looked like he's thrown a baseball before. Do you have a favorite moment from opening day of baseball? https://www.pitcherlist.com/presidents-on-the-bump-a-hist/.

What is the favorite gift that you will give for the holidays? We gave 335 signed copies of my new book, The Law Firm of Your Dreams, to our referral partners. In my view, there is nothing greater than the gift of knowledge and books can be invaluable.
