My son and I visited Lakeshore Hardwoods to get planks made from a maple tree on our family’s farm. They’ll be used to make a new table for our dining room and other pieces of furniture for families across CNY.
I’ve spent much of my life’s work focused on improving national security and keeping this country safe. I'm proud to have the opportunity to continue this work serving as the top Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee.
With all absentee ballots counted and results certified, it is clear we have decisively won re-election. I am honored and humbled to have once again earned the strong support of Central New Yorkers of all political affiliations. Once again, our campaign exceeded expectations by winning with a margin of over 10 percentage points, significantly outperforming the top of the ticket. I recognize that voters across Central New York remain frustrated with the gridlock and lack of p...rogress in Congress. I proudly ran a campaign that emphasized my record of bipartisanship and working together to achieve common goals for our nation. Like many communities across the country, Central New York is continuing to grapple with the ongoing pandemic, while confronting a host of other local challenges such as the opioid epidemic, water quality issues, and crumbling infrastructure. My approach to governing in Congress will prove integral as we work to combat the pandemic and address these issues of local importance.
Wishing everyone in our community a very happy Thanksgiving. I'm truly thankful to have earned the trust of our community and am able to continue representing Central New York in Congress. It remains a high honor and privilege. Whether you're connecting safely in-person or virtually, I hope you're all able to spend time with your loved ones this Thanksgiving.
I spoke with Dana Balter earlier this evening, and congratulated her on a well-fought campaign. It remains an honor and a privilege to represent Central New York in Congress, and I am extremely grateful to have earned re-election for a fourth term. I am especially humbled by the resounding support our campaign received across party lines. Now, more than ever, our nation needs members of Congress willing to work across the aisle to deliver. We have a tremendous amount of work to do. At the forefront, addressing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and working to rebuild our economy. I look forward to getting back to work in Washington.
