Well this just happened! Julio Mangual bought a Tundra from us on January 8th. . He brought it back in with concerns and left it overnight for service. Someo...ne that night cut through our chain link fence and on video walked our whole property looking through every truck, apparently to find these beautiful red seats I designed and had installed. They broke the window of his truck ( limo tinted black) and stole his two front seats, but not the center one? or the back seats, and on film made there way back through the hole in the fence and through a water filled trench of mud at 1am and stole his seats. There is many areas that have no fence and it was a botched burglary to say the least. Especially since we have over 150 trucks on the lot just like it. Obviously Julio was mad as well as we were and Police investigators were baffled and so were we and the insurance companies for both of us didn't want to get involved. Johnstons Toyota took an amazing amount of Social media backlash from around the country and for no good reason. It was baffling how people across the country who had no idea what happened gave us crap for no reason. BUT, in the end Johnstons Toyota and myself got Julio a new truck, took his other one back, gave him upgraded wheels and tires and a free loaner while we worked it all out, which took a while. With ZERO expense for him. All is good now and no hard feelings for either of us, we always do what is right for the customer. If you see anyone with two red seats from a Tundra, please call ME or Julio so we can bring that knucklehead to justice for doing this! Happy driving!
