Four years ago this 4th of July, Johnstown Restaurant Supply had a surprise visitor when a deer burst through the front window, galloping up and down the aisles, before exiting out a front door. Marie Barr, the owner of Johnstown Restaurant Supply, was working at the store with her daughter, Joan when the deer made the entrance. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The story was carried in the local Johnstown Leader-Herald, https://www.leaderherald.com//deer-crashes-into-downtown-/ as well as by Albany TV news stations. The deer was never found and presumably ran back into the nearby woods unharmed. It was later thought that the deer ran into the large storefront windows, mistaking the reflection of the trees for a real forest.

Did you know....that Mother's Day was the brainchild of Anna Jarvis, daughter of Ann Reeves Jarvis, way back in the early 1900s!
