Lots of young mergansers, mallards and geese on Long Lake this summer. Here's a parade of geese by our dock following the hurricane on Wednesday. Even they have to paddle hard on a windy lake.

The loons are back for the summer in the ADKs. This one with chick is Photo of the Day for North Country Public Radio. At Journey's End, the loons are calling at night and fishing off the dock by day.
