This engagement ring made of Anatollian Electrum with a viridian moisanite was a very inspirational piece for me. We used it as the engagement ring in the new Otherworldly Entity music video for Sunset, where we teamed up with Khangle, Zoe Scialdone, and Kaleidoscope Hair by Meghan Heagerty to be worn by Risa Is a Fox. The Science of Ca'Dio was based on my book The True Survivors: A Journey Into Lamellain Culture, which is written as a fictional ethnography. The show was at The Forvm in Amherst, NY and was a combination of amazing music, acting, and lights. The story is of a scientist who goes mad trying to bring his wife back from the dead. This show was 5 years ago today. @ Amherst, New York

There's a funny story to this shoot that involves the fashion designer Omi from Sai One in Buffalo. A few days before the shoot, myself and the model Cal went to Sai One back when it was on Elmwood for a fitting. We walked in and Omi looked at Cal and said "don't do it." Cal said "do what?" And Omi said "I just saw you buying a blue motorcycle then I saw you dead on the road." Cal looked shocked...he was thinking about buying a blue motorcycle but didn't tell anyone because h...e knew we'd all tell him it was a bad idea. He did not buy that motorcycle. Bonus story: Omi looked at Cal, grabbed some fabric, and made his shirt in a matter of minutes. No measurements. No pattern. I couldn't believe how easy he made it look. His only response was "worst case scenario I fuck up some fabric." I never told Omi this, but that moment was the single greatest inspiration for me to start sewing. There wasn't anything to be afraid of. It was just that easy. Leaving fashion and jewelry design, there's a lot of crazy history and unique opportunities I look back on. The craziness of the runway shows started in the first ward of Buffalo, NY in 2013 at a live art and runway show called Fashion of Interaction. It was in an old factory setting and I really didn't know how to sew yet. So I used some clothes I had laying around, and worked with @saionebuffalo on some other outfits. I had just gotten my book The True Survivors published, so a lot of the fashion and accessories came from that. We also did a performance of The Madman of Ca'Dio, inspired by the book as well. Eventually that show evolved into The Science of Ca'Dio, which was a much bigger show. @ Buffalo, New York
