this was our post from 3/17/2020. With all the challenges of opening my boxing club a world pandemic was not one of them. Although told to prepare for a few weeks of closure, we would be kept closed for the next 9 months. We pivoted to on-demand, zoom, and outside the ring boxing classes lit up the park for the next 6 months. Why we survived was because of you. the jukebox community. I am so grateful to every one of you for staying with us and fighting with us as the world ...turned upside down. And excited to continue to grow with you as our future evolves into a new and better place as we move forward to a new normal continuing to fight for equality justice love and unity. Thank you. Thank you all for being you, for the sound of your laughter tears and grunts, for your stories and sharing. You are truly a gift and I am humbled that I get to know you and lead you in our sweaty daily boxing rituals. I love you and I believe in you. Thank you for standing with me and my team. And .... a little flashback ... if no one told you yet today your ass looks great in those sweatpants, your brilliant sexy beautiful and powerful. your dreams are and will continue to come true.
