Join us next Friday for a Liberation Forum, RSVP to receive the zoom link to join: tinyurl.com/libforum416 Police officer Derek Chauvin is currently on trial for the murder of George Floyd, whose killing sparked a broader uprising against racism and American policing in the summer of 2020. Police almost never go to trial for their murders and the fact that Chauvin is on trial is a result of mass mobilization pressuring the system to respond. What will happen if Chauvin is ac...quitted? PSL member Sasha will discuss the implications of this trial and its potential outcomes on the broader anti racist movement against police brutality. Haitian people are organizing mass protests to demand the Biden administration stop supporting neoliberal dictator Jovenel Moïse, who has been ruling by decree for over a year after dismissing the Haitian parliament. These protests are part of a movement that began in 2018, in light of increasing gas prices and financial embezzlement, and has intensified in recent weeks. Hear an eyewitness account from Eugene Puryear on how this movement is resisting imperialism and neocolonialism, and how this conflict between the masses and the exploiters has been raging since before Haiti’s founding.

JCEB stands with Joel, Eliza, and Lillian, peaceful protesters who were arrested because they lead marches for justice for Elijah McClain. Thanks to everyone’s support, these three organizers have gotten a good portion of their charges dropped. Now it’s time we push for CO District Attorneys @brianmason.us and @johnkellnerco to drop ALL the charges, and finally arrest the actual murderers of Elijah McClain! #dropthechargesco #justiceforelijahmcclain

RSVP at tinyurl.com/socialism-rev What is Socialism? What is Revolution? How can we achieve it in the United States? Join us this Saturday on Zoom for Class 5 of our Socialism Series to dicuss these questions and more! In this class, comrades Rob and Jenny will present on what a socialist society looks like through examples from history. The socialism series is a free series of classes open to all, grounded in our belief that capitalism - the system in which all wealth and po...wer is held by a tiny group of billionaires and their state - is the source of the problems confronting humanity today. For the people and planet to live, capitalism must go. The working-class holds the future for humanity. Another world is possible - if we fight for it. Socialism is a system where poor and working class people have power and the wealth of society is used in a planned and sustainable way to meet people’s need. Socialism can only be achieved by a mass movement of millions organized to fight for what is rightfully theirs. We believe that only when we teach each other, and learn together can we achieve the solidarity and understanding needed to build this movement. RSVP at tinyurl.com/socialism-rev

JCEB calls for justice for Christian Hall and all victims of police terror. We will be marching with Christian Halls’s family and others demanding justice in Philadelphia this weekend. Join us if you can! From @phillyliberationcenter : On December 30th, 2020, Christian Hall, a 19-year-old Chinese-American, was suffering from a mental health emergency. The Pennsylvania State Police were called to help Christian. The incident ended with Troopers shooting and killing him. At th...e time when the deadly force was used, however, Christian was standing with his hands up and did not present as a significant or deadly threat to anyone. Christian Hall’s tragic death highlights a national crisis of police brutality, especially against people suffering from mental health emergencies. Heavily armed police officers should not be the first response to mental health emergencies. All people, but in particular Black, Asian, and Hispanic communities who historically have been oppressed, are entitled to receive emergency mental health services without the fear of being killed. Anti-Asian violence and police brutality both stem from systemic racism. Therefore, we must unite in solidarity to demand that our government works for the people, not against the people! Please join us on April 10th as we march with Christian Hall’s family to demand: 1. That the Monroe County District Attorney refer the homicide investigation to the Pennsylvania Attorney General, so that a complete and unbiased investigation may be conducted. 2. That the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police reform agency policies and training to reduce the number of mentally ill persons who are killed by his agency. #justiceforchristianhall

SEE YOU FRIDAY for a Liberation Forum on "Stop anti-Asian violence and China-bashing" + "Patriarchy and the pandemic" - RSVP link in bio. On Tuesday, March 16, three Atlanta-area spas staffed by Asian workers were the targets of a racist and sexist mass shooting. Eight people were killed, seven of whom were women, and six of the women were Asian. The shooter, a 21-year-old white man, admitted to this heinous act later that night. Over 3,800 self-reported hate crimes against ...Asian Americans have been recorded in the last year. This correlates with an uptick in China-bashing in the mainstream media. Join us for a community discussion around how white supremacy, patriarchy, racism and the U.S. war drive in Asia are at the root of this violent atrocity, and how we can put an end to anti-Asian racism. We will also discuss how the capitalist system's pandemic response has exacerbated women's oppression in the U.S., amid a crisis in low-wage employment, childcare, housing and social provisioning as a whole. Black and Latina women especially work in some of the hardest-hit sectors in the pandemic, in jobs that lack paid sick-leave, flexible hours or the ability to work from home. Comrade Grace will explain how this crisis shows us that working-class and oppressed women need socialism, a system where our basic needs are guaranteed rights for all.

We continue our celebration of Women’s History Month by honoring former political prisoner and revolutionary Safiya Bukhari. Born middle-class, Safiya Buhkari became involved in the Black Panther Party’s free breakfast programs after realizing that she did not need to leave her native New York City to find starving children. Thus she began her life’s work of dedicated & disciplined revolutionary organizing. When the BPP began to fall under the weight of COINTELPRO, she, like ...many other BPP members joined the underground offshoot of the party, the Black Liberation Army (BLA). After being imprisoned for over 8 years for her involvement in the BLA ,she co-founded the Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Coalition and the Jericho Movement to agitate for the release of political prisoners. Until the end of her life in 2003 she tirelessly worked to ensure that US political prisoners were never marginalized or forgotten. Speaking on the injustice of incarcerated revolutionaries languishing in prison with little recognition, she states, we have a tendency to build superstars and the superstars get the play. And the soldiers in the rank and file and the workhorses, whose names were never known, they languish on their own. That is not the way you build movements, if you don't support the people in your movements who made the sacrifices then what incentive is there to anybody else to get involved. I have a real problem with that. #safiyabukhari #womenshistorymonth #revolutionarywomen See more
