It's a great opportunity to promote the benefits of good oral health, because developing good dental health habits at an early age, including scheduling regular dental visits, helps children get a good start in a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

From the Family Service League and Tri Community and Youth Agency Staff: Now that 2020 has come to an end, we want to reach out to you to thank you for your generous support of the Project T.O.Y. program. With your help, we were able to provide over 3,600 toys, stocking stuffers and wrapping paper to our neighbors in need. It was important for us to do this program in 2020 despite the challenges we all faced with COVID-19. We were able to bring smiles to the faces of over 1,800 children! We thank you and look forward to partnering with you again in 2021. Wishing you and yours a safe, healthy and happy year ahead!

Along with the Family Service League and the other members of Dentists for a Better Huntington each year we have collected toys in our offices for LOCAL needy boys and girls. In the past toys that have been collected are brought to a location in Huntington. Families go... and ‘shop’ for something special that they know their child would enjoy. We are excited to announce the fantastic news of baby Cecilia arriving!!! Congratulations to Jessica and husband on the birth of their daughter!!! Everyone is doing great and we can't wait to meet the youngest addition to the KFD family!!

KFD was so excited to host a baby shower for our very own Office Manager, Jessica!!!! The weather was perfect , food was flowing and Jess was glowing!! Hopefully litle baby girl and Momma will enjoy all of the great gifts. Looking forward to meeting your little bundle of joy soon!!

We couldn't be happier for our hygienist, Christine, who said YES!!!!! She and Chris make a beautiful couple and wish them much love and happiness as they plan their future together!! Congratulations to the both of you!!!

During these difficult times at Kalmar Family Dentistry we are taking extra precautions for your and our health and safety. Have you been out of New York State in the past 2 weeks? 2. Have/Had a fever in the past 14 days?... 3. Difficulty Breathing? 4. Cough? 5. Experienced loss of taste or smell? 6. Contact with Covid-19 positive patients? If you can answer yes to any of these questions please call the office at 631-673-0670 before your appointment and we can discuss if we need to reschedule your appointment. If your answer is no to the questions then confirm your appointment as usual by email or text and you acknowledge that you are healthy and do not have any symptoms and have not left New York in the past 14 days.

COVID-19 has us missing all of our patients! While we continue to monitor guidelines and instruction from the CDC, ADA and Dept. of Health for when we can see you all again in our office.... On March 16th, The American Dental Association recommended that dental practices defer all elective procedures tentatively until April 30th. We continue to provide emergency services ONLY, in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus and to preserve protective protective equipment for patients and those protecting us on the front lines. In compliance, we have closed our office for normal operations. ...However, your dental care is very important to us. If you have a true dental emergency, please contact our office at 631-673-0670 and we will reach out to you as quickly as possible. If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled, we will be contacting you to reschedule. Please know that any appointments originally scheduled between today and April 30th will be cancelled and rebooked. We will continue to monitor the situation and will notify you when we are able to resume full treatment for all of our patients.
