This is one of my sweet big kid Kindermusik classes. Tonight, they reminded me of how little they still are by introducing their stuffed animals and taking turns telling the class about them. They were absolutely adorable and oh-so-sweet! It was such a nice reminder to slow down and live in the moment for all too soon, they really will be big kids!!! They are such smart young musicians and after our few minutes of socializing (which is now more important than ever!), they went on to do rhythmic dictation and to play simple four note melodies on their glockenspiels! A mom just posted this picture in our local mom group, and said it was ok to share (the pic is hers, the words are mine). My boy and I always sponsor a child for the Salvation Army, and this year is no different. I ran to the mall the other day for the first time since March, and got our tag (an 11 year old boy who just asked for Matchbox cars ), but my heart broke when I saw how many tags were still on the tree. I know it’s so hard this year for so many, but these are the wishes and needs of children. If there is any way possible for you to grab a tag (at the mall or at Walmart), would you please consider it? The gifts are due by December 12, so there’s still time!
