With over a decade of teaching and performing experience across two continents and many musical genres, I am proud to offer my services as a music teacher to the Uptown Manhattan community. Get in touch today to learn more, or to schedule a discounted trial lesson! Private piano lessons (all ages and ability levels)... Come learn to play the music that you love while also developing a musical mind and versatile pianistic technique. Although my first love is classical music, I also play jazz, pop, and musical theatre, and would be happy to tailor your lessons to whatever style makes your heart sing. Private voice lessons (beginner and intermediate) As a music director for musical theatre productions, I’ve helped dozens of singersboth children and adultsgain confidence and unlock the expressive potential of their natural voice. My voice lessons draw from classical Bel Canto technique as well as contemporary styles, and include ear training and music theory. All ages are welcome, but I specialize in working with children and teenagers who are just starting to build their repertoire and technique. Early childhood group music classes (ages 3-5) A great option for little ones with music in their heart who aren't quite ready for individual instruction. Children can join a class of 5-10 students and learn to clap, dance, and jump along to their favorite songs! Activities also include musical story-time, coloring, and instrument crafts.
One of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite movies! Let me know what you think of hearing it on the piano.
With a little bit of extra time to fill during lockdown, I’ve been having a great time transcribing and analyzing some of the film music that I’ve always loved! John Williams, Joe Hisaishi, Miklos Rozsa, and more recently Carl W. Stalling, who wrote all the music for the old Looney Tunes shorts. On my music stand right now is a piano transcription I’ve been working on of the music from one of my favorite scenes in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Expect a few performance and musical analysis videos in the coming weeks!
And here's my teaching assistant, Li'l Tink, getting ready for a day of remote lessons!
New batch of flyers, hot off the press! Feel free to grab one from Forever Coffee, and a few other spots around Washington Heights, Inwood, and Harlem!
I had such a wonderful time teaching these gals at the Senior Center at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House last Spring!
