We also have the sweetest carrots and beets of the year, and are bringing plenty of them after selling out early at the last market...Hope to see you there. Ordering is open for the "Farmer's Park-It" this coming Thursday, March 4 at the New Hartford Shopping Center. You can place your online orders to be picked up between 3 and 3:30 on Thursday here: https://kingfisherfarm.eatfromfarms.com/ We have a really nice selection of fava bean (earthy, green bean flavors) and pea shoot (think spring!) microgreens. These are excellent in salads or light cooking. We are also still well-stocked with storage carrots and beets at their ...sweetest. And we're adding a few items from friends: Organic, whole grain muffin mix from Utica's Rosemont Inn Bed and Breakfast; mushrooms from Fruit of the Fungi; and direct-from-the-farmer coffee that we import through Just Haiti, a farmer-cooperative working exclusively with shade-grown, small land-holder farms. We have found this group to be the "CSA" of coffee shopping = we truly know where our coffee comes from and where our money is going. So we figured we'd share this product here for you to try as well.

Wow, we have ALOT of certified organic microgreens for the Oneida County Public Market tomorrow... pea shoots, a buckwheat/sunflower mix, and a broccoli family mix -- greens to cut through the gray. Still plenty of carrots, beets, and potatoes, too! Hope you can make it down to the train station -- I can guarantee we will be there along with a bunch of other great growers with local meats, honey, maple syrup, spirits, and prepared foods!

Oneida County Public Market 9-1 at the Utica Train Station tomorrow. The one and only winter farmer's market in the area is still going strong, with lots of socially distanced vendors with the first and best medicine: good food. We will have kale straight from the field, carrots, beets, rutabagas, watermelon radishes, cabbage and onions! All certified organic, all grown in Sauquoit. Lots of awesome prepared foods, local meats, honey, and maple syrup, too. Support local, support your immune system! Do some holiday shopping, too: craft spirits, wine, mead, and all kinds of great crafts. Hope to see you there!

Another nice haul of certified organic produce headed to the Oneida County Public Market today, 9-1. The mellow fall weather is keeping the kale in great shape and we also have a good amount of broccoli -- bags of the small side shoots that come after the main head is harvested. And Kalibos cabbage, our new fall favorite, from the great seed folks at Fruition Seeds in Trumansburg. They're pointy and purple! Frisee endive, too: this is a cold-hardy, bitter green that makes a great salad or "braising" green. Plenty of carrots, beets, rutabagas, watermelon radishes, and onions, too. Oh, and butternut and acorn squash! Hope to see you there.

Tons of fresh organic produce from our Oneida County farm headed to the Utica train station this morning for the open air market, 9-1. We will be there from now through February, and this is the one and only local market to go through the winter. Please come on out to support everything local ag offers: apples, fall crops, honey, maple syrup, grass-fed meats. We've got our Bonkers apples today -- a modern Cornell variety that is somewhere between a Cortland and a Honeycrisp, just a great apple. See you there!

Kingfisher Farm 03.11.2020

Organic Honeycrisp Apples headed to the Oneida County Public Market today! Organic honeycrisp are a rare site and our orchards are among just a handful in the entire state that are managed organically. Like last year, these will go fast: this week and maybe next. We've also got some awesome collard greens, dino kale, Swiss chard, beets, carrots, and lettuce. Hope to see you there on this beautiful fall-like day.

New York Organic Apples! We've got some beautiful Sansa and Zestar apples headed to Clinton Farmer's Market tomorrow. These are two exceptional early varieties. Sansa in particular rivals ANY late season apple for sugar and crunch, and Zestar can hold its weight as well. Both have some solid disease resistance to boot, making them awesome varieties for organic management. We are very happy to be bringing these Oneida-county-grown, certified organic apples to our local mar...kets! It's also the season where our kitchens, refrigerators, and coolers overflow with the bounty of this beautiful summer. Come fill yours with certified organic heirloom tomatoes, Celebrity tomatoes, sweet orange picnic peppers, hot cayenne peppers, lettuce, kale, chard, fennel, beets, pole beans, cipollini onions, garlic, and a few other things I can't think of right now! We will be loaded and ready for a great day at market...see you there!
