Needless to say, yesterday was a heart wrenching day as sweet Wesley was laid to rest. My heart has been heavy these last few days knowing how many of my precious students and friends are so deeply hurting. He was such a light and incredibly pivotal in the development of so many students, and I'll always be grateful for his commitment to going above and beyond for each and every one of them. Thank you, Wesley, for your endless light and love you poured into everyone around y...ou- your legacy will most assuredly always be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know you. As I scrolled through my timeline and saw an endless number of precious photos and memories shared about Wesley, student Claire Criner's 'Amazing Grace' came along...and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I've taken comfort listening to her version a number of times and Claire was kind enough to let me share in case these words will mean a little something extra to those hurting right now As Wesley shared and lived, "Normalize telling people you love them. Tell them a lot. Make it weird." And "be a light...wherever you are".

Rest In Peace, sweetest Wesley. You will be so very missed
